3、 Teak floor how to distinguish?
1. Look at the lines
The real teak floor has obvious sketch lines and oil stains, while the fake teak floor has no sketch lines or the sketch lines are shallow and scattered.
2. Touch it in person
The real teak floor feels smooth and delicate. It seems to have been soaked by oil, while the fake teak floor is not smooth.
3. Smell
The real teak floor releases a unique aroma. If the red teak has a large amount or even all of the exhibition halls are red teak, you can smell this kind of aroma after you walk in. The aroma is very comfortable. The fake teak floor should have aroma or pungent taste;
4. Weigh the net weight
The relative fiber density of real teak flooring is 0.67-0.73/cm3, which is lighter than that of African pear, but heavier than that of hemlock.
5. Water detection
A drop of water in the teak floor where there is no paint, the real teak floor is full of water beads, not easy to penetrate; The water on the false teak floor will permeate quickly or slowly (teak floor contains oil, oil and water are incompatible, so the real teak floor water will not be digested and absorbed into beads). When using toilet paper to wipe the water mark, you will find that the water on the real teak floor is not easy to penetrate, and the surface is oil-soluble and smooth, so the water is quickly wiped, and there is no trace. Because the water has already penetrated into the false teak floor and the surface is not smooth, the water mark can not be wiped dry, and there are paper fragments;
6. Look at the sawdust
In the stage of installing the floor, it’s better to distinguish between the real teak floor and the fake teak floor. The real teak floor has very heavy oil, which makes it feel soft when pinching, while the fake teak floor is dry and loose;
7. Emphysema
Put the wood floor into the water and soak it for 24 hours, and then observe the change. The real teak floor has no change; If there is distortion, swelling and other deformation, it is false teak floor.
8. Fire
In destructive experiments, teak floor samples were used in general stores. A small dry wood floor was taken to ignite. The smoke emitted from real teak floor was thick and large, while that from fake teak floor was less.
